Under-eye filler vs boosters
- Tear-trough filler (volume): softens a true hollow. Usually one treatment with a more immediate change, but it needs the right anatomy and careful technique.
- Boosters (skin quality): VAMP, salmon PDRN or exosomes, for smoothness, hydration and fine lines. Usually a short series a few weeks apart, with subtle, gradual results.
The choice is made with you at your consultation, after Araceli looks at the area in different light and angles. Some people start with a booster series and consider filler later, or need neither. If the issue is mostly skin texture, microneedling or Opus Plasma may be part of the plan too.
Will it help dark circles?
It depends on what causes them. Shadows from thin skin or a hollow can improve. Brown pigmentation, visible blood vessels or puffiness from fluid or fat usually don’t respond much to injectables, and Araceli will tell you so rather than sell you something that won’t help.
Cost
Pricing depends on whether you need filler or a booster, the product and the number of sessions. You’ll get an exact plan and price at your free consultation. See this month’s specials for current offers. Spanish: relleno y potenciadores para ojeras, en español.
Is the under-eye area risky to treat?
The skin is thin and the area has important blood vessels, so technique and product choice matter. Common effects are mild swelling and bruising. Rare but serious complications are possible with any filler, including a blocked blood vessel; the warning signs, and what to do, are on our filler dissolving page, and you’ll go through them at your consultation.
