Botox for sweating in Fresno? Ask about Jeuveau

If you sweat through shirts no matter the weather, neurotoxin in the underarms is a treatment worth asking about. Most people know it as Botox for sweating; Araceli uses Jeuveau. Ask about it at your free consultation with nurse practitioner Araceli Huerta, APRN.

How it works

Calmer sweat glands

Neurotoxin blocks the nerve signal that tells sweat glands to switch on. For underarm sweating it’s placed in a grid of tiny, shallow injections across the underarm.

Underarm sweating is an off-label use of Jeuveau: its FDA approval is for frown lines, and treating sweating is a provider decision made with you at your consultation. How much it helps, and for how long, varies from person to person.

Excessive sweating can sometimes be a sign of another health issue, so it starts with a conversation about your history. Araceli will tell you whether this treatment is right for you or whether you should check in with your primary care provider first.

What to expect

Treatment takes about 20 to 30 minutes. The skin is cleaned and marked, sometimes after a quick starch-iodine test that shows exactly where you sweat most. Many small, shallow injections follow; they sting briefly. You can go back to your day afterward.

How long it lasts

It varies from person to person. If you and Araceli decide it’s working for you, treatment can be repeated when sweating returns.

Cost

Underarm treatment uses more units than most facial areas, priced per unit. Araceli confirms the dose and price at your free consultation. See how neurotoxin pricing works.

Migraines

Araceli also offers neurotoxin for migraines. Jeuveau isn’t FDA-approved for migraine, so this is a conversation for your consultation: she’ll go through your history, and whether it’s a fit or whether your physician or neurologist is the right place to start.

Does the 4-hour rule apply?

The 4-hour rule mostly matters for facial treatment. For underarms, the usual advice is to skip deodorant, hard workouts and hot environments for the rest of the day; you’ll get written aftercare instructions.
