Sculptra or hyaluronic-acid filler?
- HA filler (lips, cheeks, under-eyes) gives a visible change the same day and can be dissolved if needed.
- Sculptra works slowly, by stimulating collagen, so the change is gradual and subtle. It can’t be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which is one more reason it’s planned carefully and placed conservatively.
Some people use both: HA filler for precise shape, Sculptra for overall support. See dermal fillers to compare.
When will I see results?
Gradually. Expect the early fullness to fade within days, then a slow build over the following months as new collagen forms. Patience is part of the plan; it’s a good fit if you want people to notice you look well, not that you had something done.
How many sessions?
Usually a series, spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on your face, your goals and how your skin responds; Araceli will recommend a plan and a price at your free consultation.
Aftercare and side effects
Swelling, tenderness and bruising at the injection sites are common for a few days. You’ll get specific aftercare instructions, which may include massaging the area for several days. Small bumps under the skin are a known possible side effect; careful technique and aftercare reduce the risk, and you’ll go through risks and who shouldn’t have Sculptra at your consultation.
Cost
Sculptra is priced per vial, and most plans use more than one vial across a series. See this month’s specials; your exact plan and price are set at your free consultation.
