How much masseter treatment costs
Masseter tox is priced per unit like any neurotoxin treatment. Because the masseter is a large, strong muscle, it typically needs considerably more units per side than the frown lines, so it’s one of the larger treatments. Your dose depends on how strong the muscle is and what you want from treatment (relief, slimming, or both). Araceli confirms units and price at your free consultation. See our neurotoxin pricing guide for how per-unit pricing works and this month’s special.
How long masseter tox lasts
Relief from clenching often starts within one to two weeks. Results usually last about three to six months; some people find the interval stretches after a few rounds as the muscle stays less active. Slimming changes appear gradually over four to eight weeks.
Is masseter Botox risky?
In experienced hands it’s a common, well-tolerated treatment, but it isn’t risk-free. Possible effects include tenderness or a small bruise at the injection sites, temporary chewing fatigue with tough foods, and, if product spreads to nearby muscles, a temporarily uneven smile. Careful placement reduces these risks, which is why Araceli maps the muscle while you clench before she injects. Treatment isn’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions; you’ll go through your health history first.
Combining with other treatments
Many people pair masseter treatment with upper-face Jeuveau in the same visit. For jawline definition rather than slimming, chin and jawline filler adds structure, and the two can work together. Spanish speakers: masetero y bruxismo, en español.
