What’s in a syringe?
Most lip fillers come in 1 ml syringes of hyaluronic-acid gel. Some practices also offer a half syringe (0.5 ml). For perspective, 1 ml is about a fifth of a teaspoon: enough for a visible but natural change on most lips.
When a half syringe makes sense
- First treatment: a gentle way to see how you feel about fuller lips.
- Hydration and definition: smoothing dry lips, sharpening the border, a subtle cupid’s bow.
- Touch-ups: topping up a previous treatment as it softens.
When a full syringe makes sense
- Noticeable volume: for thinner lips, a full syringe usually gives a more balanced result.
- Shape and symmetry together: correcting proportions often needs a bit more product.
How pricing works
Lip filler is usually priced per syringe, and a half syringe typically costs less than a full one but more than half the price, because of product and supply costs. Our current filler pricing is on the specials page, and your exact plan is set at your free consultation.
Is $400 a good price for lip filler? Prices vary with the product and injector. Focus on the plan, the product and who is injecting; then compare.
Build gradually
Natural-looking lips are usually built in stages: a first treatment, a two-week check once swelling settles, then more if you want it. Lips stretch and adapt over time, so adding slowly keeps the shape refined. Learn more about lip filler in Fresno or compare with a lip flip.
